The SWAS Individual Athlete Support Program (IASP) is designed to support young athletes living in the South West on a pathway to compete at a State and National level in reaching their full potential.
The program is intended to provide a holistic approach to improve the athletes’ physical ability as well as their personal development through a range of services specific to the sport and to the individual athletes’ needs.
To be eligible for the Individual Athlete Support Program you must reside in the South West, be aged 15 to 18 (as the 1st July) and excelling in your sport.
If you meet this criterion you can apply to be part of the South West Academy of Sport Individual Athlete Support Program. The program is offered annually to talented athletes whose sport is not covered by the Academy’s Partner Sport Programs (Netball, Australian Rules Football, Cricket and Hockey).
The Individual Athlete Support Program Intake is advertised on our Website, Instagram and Facebook in April of each year. Applications open and close during the month of April followed by interviews as required in May and our Programs commence 1st July through to 30th June.
