Annual fun run attracts early morning crowd to foreshore

Dogs on leashes and kids in prams were among those who crossed the finish line at this year’s SWAS Albemarle Fun Run.

Living up to its reputation as the fun run for everyone, the community event attracted a diverse field of entrants, including serious competitors, to the Ridley Place Australind Foreshore on Saturday March 11.

A special 2km category gave youngsters the chance to experience the sense of achievement gained from completing a fun run. Meanwhile, the 10km run, 5km run and 5km walk categories catered for a range of ages and levels.

Every finisher received a medal, with cash prizes for winners.
