Race for your school
Students who compete in this year’s SWAS Wespine Fun Run could help their school win a prize.
Thanks to the generosity of Apex Radiology, the school with the greatest number of entrants in the event taking place on Saturday March 20 will be rewarded with $500.
Juniors can choose from walking and running categories, including a special 2km run for those aged 10 and under that gives youngsters the chance to experience being part of a fun run.
Apex Radiology regional services manager – Bunbury Jane Ramsay said the diagnostic imaging services provider liked to get behind grassroots sporting initiatives.
“This is a great family-friendly event that falls in line with our healthy active lifestyle values,” Ms Ramsay said.
Now in its seventh year, the SWAS Wespine Fun Run provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get moving and be part of a community event.
The race is open to all members of the community, with categories to suit juniors and seniors, walkers and runners, as well as enthusiasts and serious competitors.
Every participant who completes the course along the Ridley Place Foreshore in Australind will receive a medal for their efforts when they cross the finish line.
