Prizes for individuals and schools
Young runners who’ve always wanted to enter a fun run can get excited − an all-ages race is coming up in Bunbury that gives participants the chance to win prizes for themselves and their school.
Children and teenagers are among those encouraged to enter the family-friendly SWAS Telstra Fun Run, which this year takes place on Saturday March 16.
Heralded as the fun run for all ages and abilities, the annual race around the Leschenault Inlet features walking and running categories to suit everyone.
Children aged 10 and under can have a go by taking part in the popular two kilometre run, which was introduced last year for the first time.
And those aged 11 to 16 years are able to enter the junior category in a number of walking and running categories including the 10km run, 5km run and 5km walk.
Telstra will donate a $500 cash and technology prize for the school with the most entrants, and Melo Velo will donate a bicycle to one lucky junior entrant.
All category winners will win cash prizes.
The SWAS Telstra Fun Run, now in its fifth year, takes place on Saturday March 16 and includes both junior and senior categories.
