$500 prize, thanks to Global Diagnostics
Students across Bunbury are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s SWAS Wespine Fun Run – and put their school in the running to win a cash prize.
Thanks to medical imaging provider Global Diagnostics, the school with the most entrants in the family-friendly event will walk away with $500.
This year’s fun run will be held on Saturday March 14 and once again take place around the Leschenault Inlet.
Global Diagnostics regional services manager Greg Altmann said the practice is proud to support the local community and encourage children to get active.
“Grassroots support of local organisations is something we want to support,” Mr Altmann said.
SWAS chief executive officer Bernice Butlion said the academy appreciated the support that
Global Diagnostics gives its athletes through bulk billing, saying backing the fun run was going the extra mile.
“Physical fitness and wellness go well their company values,” Ms Butlion said.
“We’re really grateful for the support of Global Diagnostics.”
There is a special 2km category for juniors to enter. There is also t10km run, 5km run and 5km walk categories. Every finisher will receive a medal.
A family entry is available at a discounted rate to ensure affordability for parents and their children wanting to compete in the same event.
