SWAS athletes shine

The ECU Souwest Jets thundered to victory in front of a home crowd when they took on the West Coast Warriors at Eaton on Friday July 20.

The Jets defeated the visiting team, with the scorecard showing 53 – 46 when the final siren sounded at the Eaton Recreation Centre.

The team features a number of South West Academy of Sport athletes and SWAS talent Ella Taylor was named most valuable player by the Jets for her standout on-court efforts during the match.

The next home game for the Jets during the Smarter than Smoking Netball WA State Netball League series will be at 2pm on Sunday August 26.

Sports fans are encouraged to head down to the Eaton Recreation Centre and cheer on the local netball heroes as they face the South East Demons.
