Doral Mineral Sands
Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd was established in 2001 to mine and process heavy mineral sands near Dardanup and Bunbury in the South West of Western Australia.
The company operates a continuous, 24 hours a day, open cut mining and processing operation which now annually produces approximately 110,000 tonnes of ilmenite, 5,000 tonnes leucoxene, 20,000 tonnes of HiTi 70 and 15,000 tonnes of zircon. The majority of the products are exported to Asia and the United States.
Doral recognises that it is an integral part of the community and so endeavors to contribute to the “well being” of the people around it.
This occurs at many levels including the creation of jobs, support for local business, and direct contributions to local community organisations including schools and sporting clubs.
Doral continues to maintain a strategic policy of sourcing labour, goods and services locally where possible to ensure the flow of economic benefits from its operations remain in the local community in which it operates.
