The South West Academy of Sport training and administration centre is based at the South West Sports Centre in Bunbury and operates specialist sporting programs throughout the region using sporting facilities in our local townships.

Previously rising athletes had to travel to the metropolitan area to advance their skills and level of training. As a regional sports academy, SWAS is designed to minimise this burden to athletes and their families.

Young athletes can now develop their skills within the stability of their home and community, enabling them to prepare for elite development programs at state, national and international level.

Regions like the South West of Western Australia, pictured below, continue to produce world-class sportsmen and women.
