In late 2007 the South West Academy of Sport launched its official brand identity and sponsorship program at a gathering of business and community leaders at the Sanctuary Golf Resort.

The launch was attended by South West Minister Mark McGowan, together with SWAS Patron Dr Ern Manea and guest speaker Western Australia’s most successful gymnast Allana Slater.

During the event a group of Bunbury athletes modeled a sample of SWAS sporting attire.

Potential sponsors showed keen interest in how their company logos could gain maximum exposure on athlete uniforms.
